Vaguely Right
Jev-based daily game - name something that lands on target
Each round you get a spectrum with a target on it (Calm ----X-- Stressful). Name something that sits at the target: a job interview, a walk in the park, a goose? The closer you are, the higher your score. If you squint, it's like a crossover between Wavelength and Family Feud! Every player gets the same 5 rounds a day. Free, no signup, play the game then see what others submitted.
Most daily games are real puzzles that have one right answer. In Vaguely Right any answer can score, as long as it's judged to be close enough to the target.
Each round shows a spectrum with a target on it, e.g. Calm -----X--- Stressful. Players submit things that they believe belong on that target, e.g. "A job interview", "my ex" and "licking a 9V battery" are all answers people have given. The answers get placed on the spectrum, and the nearer the target, the more points.
If you squint, it's like a crossover between Wavelength and Family Feud. The model (Jev) is prompted to place the submitted clue as most people would see it, so you are aiming for the consensus reading of the spectrum and your clue.
Every day everyone gets the same five rounds. The game is free to play, no need to create an account.
My favorite thing comes after the last round: you can see the closest things other players submitted for the same target, and of course we have a very satisfying share flow to show off your score to your friends and family.
I'd love for more folks to try this and I'd love to hear what you think about the spectrums and where your submissions get placed! Our beta testers have a love/hate relationship with Jev.
PS. There are other more experimental/less designed game modes - scroll to the bottom of the page.
