Trace
A private life journal for memories, people, and plans
Trace brings journals, to-dos, goals, important people, and dates into one private timeline. Capture photos, voice, places, tags, and the people who were there; look back with On This Day; stay on track with widgets and Live Activities. Use it fully offline or sync through your own private iCloud. No ads, tracking, public profile, or content server. Available in English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean—with 24 free themes.
Hi Product Hunt! I built Trace because the parts of life I cared about were scattered across a journal, reminders, habit apps, photo libraries, and contact notes. Each app knew one small piece, but none helped me see the whole story.
Trace brings those pieces into one private timeline: memories, people, to-dos, goals, birthdays, and anniversaries. It works fully offline, or syncs through your own private iCloud—we run no content server and can't read your journal.
The app started in Chinese and now supports English, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean too. This launch also includes 24 free themes, so the app can feel personal without putting your life on a public profile.
I'd really value your feedback: what would make a private life app useful enough to keep for years?
To help early testers explore the full app, I also have 30 six-month Pro codes to share. If you'd like one, ask in the comments while they last—no upvote required.

Who hunted Trace?
Trace was hunted by 李玉浩. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
