ToolTier
Tier lists of the AI tools builders actually use
Opinionated S/A/B tier lists of 44 AI tools for builders across 8 categories: app builders, coding agents, IDEs, code review, hosting, backends, design-to-code and model APIs. Prices come from official pages and get updated daily. Free, with no signup.
Hey Product Hunt! I'm Will, and I built ToolTier at SageKey Labs, LLC.
New AI coding and app-building tools ship almost every week, and I kept getting asked "which one should I actually use?" Most lists are either endless directories or paid placements. I wanted something short and opinionated: a handful of tools per category, ranked S, A or B, with the current price beside each one.
ToolTier covers 44 tools in 8 categories, from app builders, coding agents and AI code review to hosting, backends, design-to-code and model APIs. It also has 8 head-to-head comparisons, like Claude Code vs OpenAI Codex and Lovable vs Bolt.new. Tiers come from research and official docs. Prices come from each tool's own pricing page, and the lists get updated daily. The full method is at tooltier.ai/methodology.html.
To be upfront: some outbound links are affiliate links, and they're labeled. Tiers are set independently. No tool can pay to be listed or ranked higher.
I'd love your pushback. Which rankings are wrong, and what's missing? There's also a free weekly newsletter, The ToolTier Drop, if you want tier changes in your inbox.
