Introducing Tilely, a stock screener I wanted for myself and ended up building. Most screeners feel like lists of tickers with small charts beside them. There used to be more creativity in how we visualized stock movement, and I wanted to bring some of that back. The focus is on exploring changes over time through a visual, touch-first interface, with chart options for a quick overview or deeper technical analysis. The main design challenge was making it approachable for someone learning about the market without making it too basic for someone more experienced. Rather than showing every technical detail by default, the idea is to let people choose the chart style and level of detail that works for them.
