Tidzy
Search your Mac by what's in your files, not their names
Tidzy finds files on your Mac by what's in them. It reads the text in screenshots, photos and PDFs, so "wifi password" finds the screenshot, and you can copy the text right out. It also clears junk safely and spots passwords left lying around. All on-device.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Mayank, and I built Tidzy for the files you know are on your Mac but can't find. You rarely remember what a file is called. You remember what was in it, roughly when you got it, or who sent it. So that's how Tidzy searches: • "screenshots with wifi password" • "pdfs from gmail last week" • "boarding pass" (even if it's called eticket_83920.pdf) What's inside: 🔍 Reads text in screenshots, photos and PDFs. Search by what a file says, and hit ⌘T to see every line it read and copy it out. ⚡ Quick Find from any app with ⇧⌘Space. 🧹 Clean Up: old installers, forgotten downloads and duplicates. Nothing is deleted without asking, and everything can be undone. ✏️ Auto-name: "Screenshot 2026-10-02 at 8.03.32 PM" becomes "Razorpay Payout settings.png". 🔐 Sensitive file finder: passwords, API keys and ID scans left lying around. 📥 Downloaded From: browse by Gmail, WhatsApp, Slack or any website. Everything runs on your Mac. No account, no cloud, no uploads. It's a one-time purchase: $4.99 for the first 100 people, macOS 14+. I'd love your feedback, especially on searches that didn't find what you expected. I'm here all day to answer questions 🙏
