Hi Product Hunt Community :)
I was inspired to build Surcrafts because I needed a digital workspace that lets me share on my own terms. I think any project we take on requires personal investment. For me, creative work is vulnerable, and I've never found spaces where I could share it on my terms. At the same time, I realized that the cost of not sharing my perspective was much higher than the cost of sharing it. Then I thought about other creative professionals out there- writers, intellectuals- who stopped sharing their work because the only option was via social media, and even then most of their time is spent stitching different tools together, going over budget, as if creating art isn't already expensive enough, while risking their work being stolen or misused. Creators are needed for a community to function healthily. I wanted to create a platform that lets me and others build private workspaces and shared spaces, while taking measures to protect ourselves from AI crawlers, bots, and frequent scans that track where our work may have been used without our permission. A platform that directly connects the creator with the buyer, supports communication and subscriptions, and makes it easy to create newsletters, subdomains, private galleries, and RSVP pages, all from one integrated professional home for the artist to share their art and license infrastructure. Separately, given the hectic, fast-paced environment most professionals live in, I wanted to add a layer that supports a daily somatic check-in to notice personal rhythms and intentional capacity. The ecosystem is meant for the whole person, not just part of the person.
Surcrafts is not a legal service platform, just an engine that supports creatives' and buyers' relationships.
