StepTimer
A tiny walking timer that makes focus breaks hard to ignore
StepTimer is a palm-sized desk timer that physically walks when time is up. Instead of adding another notification to your screen, it brings the reminder into the real world. Set the dial, start a focus session, and let your little desk companion handle the break reminder.
Hi Product Hunt — I’m MJ, founder of PalmBlock. We built StepTimer after asking a simple question: what if a timer did more than beep? When a focus session ends, StepTimer gets up and walks, turning an easy-to-ignore alert into a small physical moment on your desk. We went through several prototypes to make the movement expressive without making the product distracting. I’d especially love feedback on the walking interaction: does it make the timer feel more useful, or simply more fun?
