Stashly
Your beauty collection, finally under control
Built Stashly after watching my partner unearth makeup that expired in 2019. It's a beauty stash tracker: scan barcodes, get expiry alerts, log usage, and follow your Project Pan progress as you actually finish products instead of hoarding them. Free + optional $2.99/mo for unlimited tracking. iOS, solo-built. Would love your honest maker-to-maker feedback.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 Maker here — really excited (and slightly terrified) to share Stashly with this community. The origin story is kind of dumb but real: my girlfriend was cleaning out her makeup drawer and kept pulling out products that had expired years ago. Some she'd forgotten existed. Some she'd accidentally bought duplicates of. She mentioned the "Project Pan" community — people who challenge themselves to actually finish their products before buying new ones — and I went down a deep rabbit hole on Reddit and TikTok over a single weekend. What surprised me: existing tools were spreadsheets, generic notes apps, or beauty trackers that treated Project Pan as a checkbox afterthought instead of the main thing. So I built Stashly on iOS with that as the focus. What it does: Add products via barcode scan, catalog search, or manually Get alerts before products expire (both expiry date + PAO) Log usage and visualize your Project Pan progress Archive finished products so you can see what you actually used up On the technical side: built solo in [SwiftUI / your stack], [Core Data / SwiftData / whatever you used] for persistence, barcode scanning hitting a beauty product database, and a bunch of small UX details that ended up taking longer than the rest combined (haptics on scan, the pan progress animation, etc.). Happy to nerd out on any of it in the replies. Pricing transparency: free tier has ads and a 10-item limit on scan/catalog (manual add is unlimited). $2.99/mo or $9.99/year removes both. I know the annual is aggressive vs the monthly — I'm experimenting and would genuinely love feedback from this community on whether the model makes sense. What I'd really value from you: Is the first-launch flow clear? Does the freemium split feel fair or stingy? As a maker — what would you build next if this were your app? Thanks for taking a look, and especially for being honest. Quietly hoping someone here has a partner who'd actually use this 😄 — Danjel
