Hi everyone! 👋
I built squareface-generator.org because I wanted to bring back the fun of classic square face avatar makers, but in a modern way that works directly in the browser.
A lot of old avatar tools were Flash-based, hard to access, or not optimized for today’s social platforms. At the same time, people still want quick, cute, and simple profile pictures for Discord, TikTok, YouTube, forums, gaming profiles, and online communities. I wanted to create a lightweight tool where anyone could make a square face avatar without signing up, installing anything, or needing design skills.
The first version started as a simple idea: let users combine different face parts and export a PNG. As the project evolved, I added more styles, random generation, shareable links, multiple PNG export sizes, and a public gallery so users can get inspiration from other avatars.
The goal is to keep the experience fast, playful, and easy to use, while making the artwork and generation system original and browser-friendly.
