Hi, I'm Umang, co-founder of SpotMe. I grew up carrying reflectors for my uncle's wedding studio in Ahmedabad. The part I remember isn't the weddings. It's the week after, when he'd sit up until 2 am copying photos into folders named "Bhabhi's side", "Nani", "Dhruv friends", and then answer calls from relatives asking where their photos were. In 2023 I flew home for my cousin's wedding. Five functions, 7,400 photos, one Google Drive link in the family group. I spent my holiday making face folders, exactly like he used to. Bansal and I sketched SpotMe at a tea stall that week. How it works: the photographer uploads the full event and clicks Find faces. Every guest opens one link, verifies their number on WhatsApp, takes a selfie and sees only the photos they're in. The couple gets a gallery with every function and a people view. Bansal trained our face models in-house for Indian weddings: veils, safas, purple sangeet lighting. They run on our own servers, and selfies are never stored. The Free plan has every feature. I'd love to hear what photographers here think, especially what's missing.

Who hunted SpotMe?

SpotMe was hunted by Vatsal V. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
