Hi Product Hunt, I'm Soham, founder of Viral App Labs. Somatry is the detective game I wanted to play and could not find. Most mystery games on a phone hand you the answer. You tap a hidden object, a character explains the twist, the case closes itself. Somatry does the opposite. You get a case file: message threads, voicemails, bank records, browser history, gate logs, interview transcripts, a coroner's report. You flag what matters and submit a report naming the killer, the method, the motive and the moment. The Bureau tells you how many of the four are right. Never which ones. What is in v1.0 today: 50 fictional cold cases across three cities of Coldmere County: Coldmere, Ashport and Palewater, connected by one conspiracy Every case is solvable from the evidence in its file, with three Consults per case if you are stuck. Consults are never sold. Case 1 is free and complete. One purchase, Coldmere County, unlocks the other 49. No subscription, no ads, no in-game currency. Plays offline. No account, no sign-up. What is not in it yet: iPhone only for now. iPads run the iPhone build. English only. The first expansion, Coldmere Stories, is announced but has no date or price yet. Every case is fiction. The cities, the victims and the killers are invented, deaths happen before the game begins and are never shown, and the files read like records, not horror. The word Somatry is invented too: the science of what the dead leave in writing. I would love to know one thing from you: after Case 1, did the report screen make you want to go back into the file, or did you want it to tell you more? That one answer shapes what I build next.
