Hi Product Hunt! I'm the maker of Smart Beat, a free tablature editor for macOS, Windows and Linux. It opens and edits Guitar Pro 3–8, MusicXML and MIDI files, shows them as tab or standard notation, and plays them back so you can practice along. The source code is public (PolyForm Noncommercial) and it is free for non-commercial use. Record to tab is in beta, and the AI features (audio to tab, hum to accompaniment) are still in development, optional and self-hosted. I'd love to hear which Guitar Pro features you miss most.
