SiteStatus.org
Is it down—or just you?
SiteStatus helps you instantly check if a website is down—globally or just for you. Most tools are outdated and hide useful data behind paywalls. SiteStatus takes a simpler approach: fast checks, clean interface, and transparent results. When something isn't working, you shouldn't have to second-guess your connection or fight a complicated tool. ⚡ For even faster checks, use the Chrome extension to check any site in one click without leaving the page.
This is my first Product Hunt launch, so I'll keep it honest.
There are plenty of tools for this - but two things kept bothering me:
Most feel clunky or outdated
Useful data is often hidden or gated
So I built SiteStatus.org with a different approach: 👉 Fast, clean interface 👉 No clutter, no friction 👉 Show the data upfront - no hiding it behind walls
The goal is simple: when a site isn't working, you shouldn't have to fight the tool that's supposed to help you.
⚡ Bonus: I also built a Chrome extension so you can check any site instantly without ever leaving the page: 👉 Try the Chrome Extension Here
I'd really value your input:
What data do you usually wish these tools showed?
Anything that feels unnecessary or missing?
Appreciate you checking it out 🙏 This is just the beginning.
