Hey Product Hunters! I’m Alex, a lawyer turned independent consultant.
For years I managed client files the way most solo consultants do: folders on my laptop, invoices in a spreadsheet, tasks in a notes app. I kept mixing up client folders and dreading the moment a client called about an invoice I couldn’t find.
After juggling three different tools for years, I built Simple Work: one numbered file per client, with contracts, documents, letters, tasks and invoices all in one place — accessible from phone or desktop, in French, English, German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese.
What’s live today: client files, tasks, appointments, document storage and invoicing. Next up: a dashboard for managing the consulting practice itself — tax filing deadlines, bills to pay, payment scheduling — and integration with a French e-invoicing platform to meet the upcoming mandatory e-invoicing rules.
