SimApp
Monte Carlo simulations from Excel files in the cloud
SimApp is a free beta for running Monte Carlo simulations from Excel files in the cloud. Upload your spreadsheet, define uncertain inputs, run thousands of simulations, and export/share the results. Built for finance, risk, forecasting, consulting, and anyone still doing serious modeling in Excel.
Hey Product Hunt! I’m Matias, founder of SimApp.
I built SimApp because a lot of serious finance and risk modeling still happens in Excel, but running Monte Carlo simulations usually means using expensive desktop add-ins, writing Python/R, or rebuilding the model somewhere else.
SimApp is my attempt to make that workflow simpler:
Upload an Excel file → define uncertain inputs → run thousands of simulations in the cloud → export or share the results.
It’s launching as a free beta, with no credit card required. I’m especially looking for feedback from people who use Excel for financial modeling, project finance, forecasting, risk analysis, consulting, or teaching.
The biggest things I’d love feedback on:
1. Does the upload-to-simulation flow feel clear?
2. Which Excel functions or modeling patterns are missing?
3. What would make this useful enough for your real work?
Thanks for checking it out. I’ll be here all day answering questions and learning from the feedback.
