Shedi
Get back the space Xcode, Docker and node_modules ate
The honest Mac cleaner. Shedi finds what Xcode, Docker, node_modules and 20+ package managers left on your Mac, says what each item is and whether it comes back, and cleans only what you pick. Everything goes to the Trash first. Pay once.
Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Otabek, I make Shedi on my own (I also make Halo, a notch app).
My MacBook kept running out of space, and every time the culprit was the same: Xcode simulators, DerivedData, Docker and node_modules. The big cleaners didn't know about any of it, cost a lot more, and wanted me to trust one giant Clean button. On my own Mac, Shedi's first scan found 21.5 GB.
So Shedi does the opposite of a magic button:
🔎 It knows where 20+ developer tools hide space: Xcode, Docker, node_modules, npm, pnpm, Homebrew, Cargo, Gradle and more
📖 Every item says what it is, whether it's safe, and whether it comes back
✅ Only what rebuilds itself is selected for you. Your own files never are
🗑 Everything goes to the Trash first, so you can put it back
🔒 No account, and your files never leave your Mac
You can click through a playable demo on shedi.app before you download anything.
Early price: the first 50 buyers get $10 off, applied at checkout (the site shows how many are left).
Heads up: Shedi isn't notarized yet (my Apple Developer ID is on its way), so the first time you open it macOS asks you to allow it: System Settings › Privacy & Security › Open Anyway (30-second guide: shedi.app/open-anyway). The notarized build is a free update.
I'd love to hear what it finds on your Mac, and what it should learn to find next. I'm here all day.

Who hunted Shedi?
Shedi was hunted by Otabek Abdiraimov. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post.
