Seekter
An open-source job-search agent that runs in Claude Code.
Seekter is an open-source AI agent for job search, built on Claude Code. Every day it searches job sources, filters postings against your own rules (location, visa, sectors, seniority, language) and fills application forms in your own Chrome. It never guesses an answer, never touches a CAPTCHA or a password, and never fills LinkedIn Easy Apply. Every application and every skip is kept as a markdown file on your computer. Free and MIT-licensed; running it needs a Claude plan.
Hi Product Hunt 👋
I'm Halil, a product designer. I built Seekter for my own job search. Applying meant typing the same work history into a new form every day, while the employer's side already reads applications with software. So I built a tool for the candidate's side, in Claude Code.
Every day it searches job sources, checks each posting against my rules, and fills the forms that fit, in my own browser. It doesn't guess: if a form asks something my profile doesn't answer, it stops and asks me. It never solves a CAPTCHA, types a password or accepts terms for me, and it never fills LinkedIn Easy Apply.
In its first five weeks it weighed 1,085 postings and passed over 867 of them, each with a written reason. Fit before volume.
Once it worked, I took my personal data out and opened it up. Everything runs on your own computer: your profile, applications and reports are plain markdown files that stay there. It's free and MIT-licensed; you need a Claude plan to run it.
We also published an open call to job platforms and applicant tracking systems: seekter.dev/open-call
I'd love your feedback, especially if you hire, build an ATS, or are looking for a job right now.

Who hunted Seekter?
Seekter was hunted by Halil İbrahim Çakıroğlu. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
