ScreenPrompt

Notes and teleprompter hidden from screen sharing

ScreenPrompt is a free, open-source notes window and teleprompter for Windows. It stays on top of everything and out of every screen share, recording and screenshot, so only you see your talking points in Zoom, Teams, Meet, OBS and Discord. Notes format as you type, scroll by themselves like a teleprompter, and a click-through lock lets you present behind them. No account, no telemetry, MIT licensed.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Daniel, the maker of ScreenPrompt.

I wanted my talking points, names and numbers right where I'm looking during calls, without glancing at a second screen or my phone, and without anyone seeing them when I share my screen. ScreenPrompt is a small, transparent window that stays on top of everything and that Windows leaves out of every screen share, recording and screenshot: Zoom, Teams, Meet, OBS, Discord.

New in 1.2.0:

  • Notes format as you type (Markdown: headings, lists, checkboxes, tables)

  • Auto-scroll, so it works as a teleprompter (Ctrl+Shift+Space)

  • Undo for accidental clears, and a shortcut sheet on F1

It's free, open source (MIT) and fully local: no account, no telemetry.

Good to know: it's Windows only (10 version 2004+ or 11), and the installer isn't code-signed yet, so SmartScreen may warn you the first time ("More info" -> "Run anyway"). It's made for calls, demos and streams, not for exams.

I'd love to hear how you'd use it, and what's missing. Stories go here: https://github.com/dan0dev/ScreenPrompt/discussions/51
