Hi Product Hunt!
As AI grows, it’s becoming an important part of our lives. AI is a powerful tool that can get a lot done. However, people are starting to use it in bad ways, so I wanted to build something that helps online stores stop losing money to AI bots.
There were a few problems I wanted to solve:
Card testing: bots run stolen cards through a store’s checkout to find the ones that work. The store pays fees on every decline and can get its payment account flagged.
Password guessing on the login page
Coupon-code guessing
Fake signups and contact-form spam
Ropeline is a WordPress and WooCommerce plugin that stops these bots while real customers walk straight in. It also lets verified AI shoppers through, like ChatGPT’s agent, because they prove who they are with a digital signature.
How it evolved:
It started as a free plugin that protects your login, and it passed WordPress.org’s review.
Then came Ropeline Pro, which guards checkout, coupons, signups and AI shoppers.
I added a free store check at getropeline.com/check, so anyone can see what bots can see on their store, with nothing to install.
Stores pay by size, so a small shop pays a small price. It starts with a 7-day learning mode, so you see what it would block before it blocks anything.
Pro is 14 days free, and the first 10 stores get the Store plan for $9 a month for as long as they stay.
