Free Color Contrast Checker — WCAG 2.2
accessibility, a11y, contrast, design tools
We've just launched a free color contrast checker. Enter your foreground and background colors, get the contrast ratio, see where it passes or fails WCAG, and when it fails, get accessible alternatives you can use right away.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
Contrast is one of the most common accessibility issues on the web. I built this free tool to help you fix it.
Most checkers tell you a pair fails and leave it there. This one suggests three accessible alternatives with ratios already computed. Tonal shift, inversion, grayscale. Pick a fix without switching tools.
It also covers the full WCAG matrix in one view. AA and AAA, text and non-text, including 1.4.11 for focus rings, borders, and icons, which most checkers skip.
Both colors live in the URL so sharing a result is just pasting a link. No signup required.
What would you add? APCA is on the radar if people want it.
Thanks for looking 🚀
