Hey PH! I'm Madhu, the maker of RedactScreen. The idea came from a moment most people here have lived: I was screen sharing with a client and a personal Slack message popped up in the background. Nothing catastrophic, just embarrassing. But closing everything before a call isn't really a solution either. Sometimes you need your notes, your reference tabs, your Slack open. You just don't want them visible to everyone else. RedactScreen filters out the apps you've marked as private before they ever reach Zoom, Meet, or anything else you're sharing with. The apps keep running normally on your screen. They just don't exist as far as your audience is concerned. Two features I'm especially proud of: Profiles let you save different sets of hidden apps for different contexts (one for client calls, another for team standups). And with Shortcuts automation, you can wire RedactScreen into AppleScript or the Shortcuts app to automatically activate the right profile when a meeting starts, or hide specific apps the moment you hit "Share Screen." Happy to answer anything. What's your biggest screen sharing horror story?
