React in a Nutshell
A practical and concise guide to modern React
React in a Nutshell is a compact practical guide for developers who want to learn or quickly review modern React. It covers components, props, state, hooks, effects, forms, context, routing, performance, common pitfalls, and includes a React Hooks & APIs cheat sheet.
Hi Product Hunt!
I created React in a Nutshell because learning React can quickly become overwhelming. There are many tutorials, videos, and long books, but developers often need a concise reference they can consult while learning or building real applications.
The goal of this book is to bring the essential React concepts together in one practical and structured guide.
It covers components, props, state, hooks, effects, forms, context, routing and navigation, performance optimization, common pitfalls, and includes a React Hooks & APIs cheat sheet.
While working on the book, I focused on keeping the explanations practical, compact, and easy to revisit rather than making it unnecessarily theoretical.
I’d be very interested in feedback from React and frontend developers, especially about the topics you consider essential in a compact React reference.
Thanks for checking out React in a Nutshell!
