Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Jonathan — a designer, not a developer. Polaris is a Bible study companion with AI features that stay theologically grounded instead of theologically neutral.
The problem: Most AI tools, when asked theological questions, will confidently explain things in ways that contradict 2,000 years of Christian interpretation. They drift. For Christians who care about the historic, plain meaning of Scripture, that drift is a feature, not a bug — and there wasn't a tool that didn't have it.
The origin: I built the first version two years ago as a CustomGPT for myself. Shared it with friends and my church. People kept using it. It sat as a personal tool until a developer friend showed me an app he'd built that was 100% AI-written code. That conversation rearranged what I thought was possible for a non-coder.
The build: 30 days from "let's see if I can turn this into a real product" to live on iOS. Web launched at day 12. Then I built a different app entirely (a pet care tracker called Nudge) just to prove I could ship through App Review at all. Then 3-4 weeks of Polaris mobile, three rejections, and an approval today.
The tech: Claude Code did the heavy lifting on implementation. I designed, wrote prompts, set theological guardrails, and made product decisions. The AI did the code.
What I'd love from you:
- Try it (free tier, no friction) and tell me what's broken
- If you're a non-developer who's been on the fence about building, I want to hear what's stopping you
