Plotwarp

You are the main character. The AI writes the rest.

Plotwarp is a text roleplaying game with no branching tree. Pick one of 17 worlds, make a character, and an AI writes every turn from your character sheet, the facts your story has established, and the choice you just made. What makes it a game and not a chat: it remembers the NPCs you met and the promises you left unresolved, each genre has a vital stat that ends your run at zero, and stories have chapters and a real ending instead of drifting forever. 15 turns free, no card.

Hi Product Hunt 👋 I built Plotwarp because I kept finishing books and wishing the ending had gone differently. Most AI story apps are a chat with a costume on. Plotwarp is a game. You make a character, drop them into one of 17 worlds — Epic Fantasy, Horror, Romance, LitRPG, Mystery, Post-Apocalyptic and more — and every turn the model reads your character sheet, the facts your story has established, and the choice you just made, then writes what happens next and moves your stats. Three things I spent most of my time on, because they're what breaks in every other AI story tool: It remembers. Named NPCs, places, items and unresolved promises carry forward across hundreds of turns. The thing you promised someone in chapter 2 comes back in chapter 8. It ends. I played a 91-turn story against production and watched it open a brand new conspiracy at turn 90, because the only ending the prompt knew was "your health hits zero". So stories now have an arc: chapters that break at a real scene boundary, and an ending the story is allowed to reach. Stats matter. Each genre has its own vital stat. Run it to zero and the run is over. There is no undo. Free to try — new accounts get 150 credits, about 15 turns, no card. After that it's a plan from $5.99/week or a one-off credit pack. Built with Next.js 16 and Supabase, on any OpenAI-compatible model behind an admin switch, with Polar as merchant of record. I'm here all day. Tell me which world is missing — and if a story goes somewhere ridiculous, screenshot it. That's the best feedback I can get.
