Phone Mirror
Quick Share from Android to your Mac, and Mirror your Phone
Phone Mirror is a Mac menu bar app for Android screen mirroring. It mirrors your Android phone's screen in a window on your Mac, over a USB cable or Wi-Fi, and you control the phone with the Mac's keyboard and pointer. Use Android's QuickShare with Airdrop : tap Share, pick your Mac, click Accept, 3 steps, nothing to install on the phone, no file size limit, up to 500 files at once.Plus whole Phone in Mac window at up to 60 FPS.
Hi,I'm Divas.I use a MacBook with an Android Phone.Random evening i thought iPhone users get iPhone Mirroring and AirDrop on their Macs, and I wanted the same for Android Phone users .I wanted to use my phone from the Mac like the iPhone user does.
So, came up with idea to built PhoneMirror, Android to Mac mirroring app , enables cross-platform sharing files between Android and Mac , using QuickShare and Airdrop interoperability. The user can seamlessly share files up to 3GB without lag over USB or Wi-Fi .
While building PhoneMirror, my approach evolved from focusing on individual features like mirroring over phone's personal hotspot over wifi, pocket mode , sharing files over QuickShare, playing phone's audio on Mac ,using Mac's Keyboard Mouse to navigate through phone's screen and many more. I tried different optimization techniques to make the files sharing fast and seamless.I started to think about making functionality work and solving a real problem for people who use devices across different ecosystems.
This launch is an opportunity to share what I've built, learn from the community , and keep improving PhoneMirror based on real user feedback .
