OpenUp

Links that escape Instagram's in-app browser.

Every link you share on Instagram, TikTok, or LinkedIn opens in a crippled in-app browser, killing logins, conversions, and trust. OpenUp lets you create links that open directly in the right app, not social media's built-in browsers, like Instagram's, and boost your conversions. You can create deep links and fully customize them, generate QR codes that represent your brand, and build a link-in-bio page to share all your links in one place.

Hey Product Hunters 👋

A year ago, I kept noticing the same frustrating issue: I’d click a link on Instagram or LinkedIn, and instead of opening the app I already had installed, I was stuck in a slow, clunky in-app browser.

Problem: Every day, creators and brands lose sales because these browsers break the user journey. You aren't logged in, tracking fails, and checkout flows are a nightmare. Most people don't realize it, but this "walled garden" effect silently destroys your conversion rates.

Solution: We built OpenUp.to, a platform to create smart deep links and QR codes that force links to open in the right place instead of in-app browser. We wanted to build the "Bitly of deep links" with a focus on raw performance.

Why we’re different:

  • Insane speed: Thanks to our infrastructure, our redirections happen in under 50ms. No lag, just instant results.

  • True deep linking: We force the opening of native apps (YouTube, Spotify, Amazon, etc.) to ensure your users stay in the environment they love.

  • Built for everyone: Fun fact, I designed the entire app on Canva because it was the tool I knew best. It’s proof that with a great developer and a clear vision, you can build a powerful tool with any stack!

What you can do with OpenUp:

  • Create smart links that bypass in-app browsers.

  • Generate QR codes that open directly in native apps.

  • Build high-speed multi-link pages.

  • Track every click with precision.

Pricing: We wanted to be as accessible as possible for everyone, from bedroom creators to established brands with 10-persons teams.

  • Free plan → 5 deep links/QR Codes to get you started.

  • Starter → $8.99/mo

  • Pro → $23.99/mo

  • Premium → $64.99/mo

I’d love to get your feedback on the speed and the UX. We’re just getting started and I’ll be here all day to answer your questions! 🙏

Who hunted OpenUp?

OpenUp was hunted by Raphaël Le Cras. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
