OhShit!

Security incidents, graded by stench. Open data + MCP

OhShit! turns public security advisories and breach reports into a feed developers can act on. Each incident has a severity level, affected products, source links and a cleanup checklist. Check supported runtime versions, or follow incidents through RSS, a free JSON API and an MCP server. The code and incident data are open source.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I built OhShit! to make security news easier to act on: what happened, who is affected, and what to do next. Each incident brings together source links, a five-level severity rating, affected versions and a cleanup checklist. Selected runtime advisories also have an interactive version checker. For developers and agents, the same incident data is available through a JSON API, RSS and an MCP server. Both the code and the Markdown incident data are MIT-licensed, and corrections are welcome on GitHub. The tone is playful; the facts and fixes need to be serious. Always check the original vendor advisory before acting. What would make this more useful to you: ecosystem filters, CVE search, or another integration?
