NECK Stack
The AI-era stack for shipping full-stack apps fast
NECK is an opinionated meta-stack for building full-stack apps without inventing architecture from scratch. It combines Nuxt/Vue, where frontend structure has a clear “Nuxt way,” with Encore.ts, where backend services, APIs, databases, crons, Pub/Sub, logging, tracing, and generated clients are first-class primitives. The result is a stack that narrows choices, prevents style drift, and keeps AI-assisted development aligned with production-ready patterns.
I originally built NECK for my own apps, and after using it enough times I felt obligated to turn it into a public tool/stack.
The goal is simple: give people an opinionated full-stack setup that keeps frontend, backend, deployment, infra, clients, docs, and CI aligned from day one, especially now that AI can generate a lot of code very quickly, but not always with the right architecture.
