I built NearestAirport.to after running into the same problem over and over:
The “nearest airport” is often NOT the best one.
Sometimes a slightly further airport:
- has way more flights
- is cheaper
- or is actually faster to reach
So I built a tool that shows all nearby airports and lets you compare them properly instead of guessing.
A couple things I’m working on next:
- better data on airport connectivity
- API access for developers
