I read several books at once, that too, in at least two languages, i.e., English and Urdu. I also venture into a number of genres. Ghalib in one hand, the Iliad in the other, a stack of technical papers that won't stop growing. Notes in margins of books I've lent out, notebooks I can't find. I'd forget characters, concepts, structures of epic poems, etc. I Put down a novel for three weeks and return to it like a stranger. I knew it isn't a failure of attention, rather what serious multidisciplinary reading looks like. The problem was that I kept losing the web of thought I built while reading. I originally thought about this as a note-taking problem. It evolved into something different, a sort of navigational space with web of meaning as a retrievable layer. Every feature decision came back to one question: does this reflect the reader's thinking back to them, or does it replace it? Anything that replaced it got cut. Musery is still early. But I believe it will help readers like myself. I do not have costing model yet, as I am the sole developer of the app, so I kept it minimal for the moment to gain some adoption and feedback.
