MuntLab

Find price rises in your bills, without linking your bank

Most budgeting apps want your bank login. MuntLab works from the statement your bank already lets you download. New since our last launch: a free check with no signup. Drop in a CSV, Excel or PDF and see what you spend per month, every fixed payment, every subscription with a cancel link, and the contracts worth comparing. The file is read in your browser, not uploaded. The app then watches those payments and tells you when one gets more expensive.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Vinay. I build MuntLab in Amsterdam. We were here in August with an early version. Since then most of it has been rebuilt, and the main thing is new: a free check with no account and no email. Download a statement from your bank (CSV, Excel or PDF) and drop it in. You see what you spend per month, your fixed payments, every subscription with a link to cancel it, and the contracts worth comparing. The file is read in your browser, not uploaded. No file at hand? There's sample data. The app goes further: every month it shows which fixed payments got more expensive, which are new and which stopped. It's built for Dutch banks (ING, ABN AMRO, Rabobank and more) and reads most other banks' CSV exports too. If yours comes out wrong, tell me which bank and I'll fix it. If you start the 30-day trial from this page, no payment details are needed. One question for you: would you want automatic bank import, or is downloading the file yourself the point?
