Hi Product Hunt community! 👋 I’m the creator of Mubatech SchemaLab. What inspired this journey? Years of design, documentation, and field work struggling with manual drafting, calculations, sizing, coordination, and documentation separately for each system inspired me to create this tool. I was constantly jumping between CAD layouts, isolated calculation spreadsheets, and code books just to size a panel or check a PoE budget. I wanted to build a workspace complex enough to handle these rigorous engineering demands, yet simple enough to integrate them into one unified, friction-free environment. The problem we are solving Traditional design processes are heavily siloed. If a security camera is added or changed, the designer must manually update the network switch capacity, recalculate the power distribution load, and check breaker configurations. SchemaLab bridges these gaps. By linking power, network, security, fire safety, and intercom subsystems, any change to a component instantly cascades to adjust wiring recommendations, re-budget PoE loads, and dynamically rebalance phase distributions. How our approach evolved We initially set out to build a simple automation calculator. However, as development progressed, we realized engineers don't just need calculations; they need active design guards. We evolved the platform to include a real-time regulatory compliance engine that flags violations (like overloaded breakers or channel conflicts) the second they happen. SchemaLab was built by engineers, for engineers, to make layout design safer and faster.
