Hi Product Hunt! I'm Emma, and with my cofounder Chance I'm building MoreSo.
For a long time I tried to understand my own skin, and most of the time I was guessing. I'd start a new product, and by the time I noticed a difference I couldn't tell whether it was the product, my routine, or nothing at all. I had notes and a camera roll, and neither one connected what I used to what I saw.
MoreSo is a record of your skin that you build yourself:
• Photograph. Take a face photo in natural light. A face guide keeps the angle the same each time.
• Log. Add your products by searching or scanning them.
• Understand. After a few photo days, see how your skin is trending and what lines up with the changes you made.
You can also ask the chat about your own history ("did my cheeks change after I started the retinol?"), and pull a Visit Prep summary to bring to a dermatologist.
What MoreSo won't do: diagnose anything, replace a doctor, or rank you against anyone else. There are no points and no guilt trips. It describes what changed and tells you when something is worth getting checked.
It works on the web today, and the iPhone app is in beta. Everyone who signs up now gets the full app free for six months. We'd love to hear what you've been trying to figure out about your skin, and what would make you open an app like this every few days.
