moodle-mod_webconferens
Half a billion people study here. The lesson can be private.
Moodle is where school already happens: lessons, homework, one login. About 150,000 sites, in more than 230 countries. More than 500 million people study and teach there. Millions of them are children. Web Conference is a live lesson on that same page. Faces, voices, a shared screen, a question a child types. That room can be encrypted. It should be. This is what we do: 100% encrypted, 100% private, for the students. What they say and show belongs only to the students in that lesson.

A simple room already works. The people in it can see each other, talk, share a screen, and type. The encryption works. The lesson is 100% private for the students in that room. What they say and show stays with them. The code is in review. Before a school can add a new module from Moodle's own plugin directory, Moodle reads it. Ours is in that queue. When the review is done, a school adds the room in a couple of clicks, and the students can try the simple room. Still being built: - Lesson mode. The teacher leads, the class watches, and the students are not all talking at once. - Showing a PDF in the room, page by page, instead of filming the screen. - Quizzes. The teacher asks, the students answer in the room. - A better way to share a desktop, so a still page stays sharp. - A hall, where one person speaks and the others watch. The plugin directory page is in progress. The source is here: https://github.com/fastpubsub/mo...
