I built MeasureShed because every time I started a project at home — a slab, a deck footing, dialing in the pool chemistry — I ended up on the same graveyard of the internet: calculator sites that looked untouched since 2005, retailer widgets quietly engineered to sell me more bags than I needed, and spreadsheets I had to download and pray weren't broken. None of them showed their work, none of them drew me a picture, and half of them fell apart on my phone while I was standing in the yard with a tape measure. I wanted the opposite of that: a tool that takes your real dimensions, shows the exact math it used, hands you a shop-style diagram and a printable material list, and cites where its numbers come from, so you can trust the answer instead of guessing and over-buying. As AI quietly swallows the one-off "how many X" questions, the thing that still deserves to exist on the web is the honest, visual, mobile-first calculator that helps you actually plan the job.
