Math in Colors

Math lessons, drawn while you watch

Short math lessons for children, drawn while they watch, grade by grade. Each lesson is a hand-drawn board that builds one sentence at a time and stays on the screen at the end to explore, presented by Stuart, a fuzzy pink brain with round glasses. Stuart was created by Niki, my 7 seven-year-old daughter

This project started with a simple idea: I wanted to create something educational for my daughter. But I quickly realized that the most meaningful part wouldn’t be what I built for her, but what we could create together. I wanted her to be part of the process, to make design decisions, review lessons, share ideas, and see her imagination come to life. Stuart, the little pink brain with round glasses, was her creation. And that’s probably my favorite part of the whole project. At 7, she’s not just the inspiration behind Math in Colors. She’s part of the team. We get to learn together, experiment, make decisions, and turn little ideas into something real. Maybe that’s what I love most about building things: sometimes the best project isn’t just the thing you create, but the experience you share along the way. ❤️
