Hi Product Hunt 👋 I built LocatorZero because I kept losing files across my laptop, a backup drive and three browsers, and every tool that could find them wanted to index my data or send it somewhere. LocatorZero does one thing: you type part of a name, it shows where that thing lives. It searches your disk, USB and network drives, cloud folders, every browser's history and your open tabs, as a list or as a map. What makes it different: • Nothing leaves your computer. The app is blocked from the internet, and the Verify button in the footer runs that check live. • It keeps no copy. It uses the search index your system already has, and keeps no index of its own. Delete a file and it's gone from LocatorZero too. • It asks first. Every drive or folder gets a consent prompt before it's read. • Honest numbers. Results paint in about 33 ms. We publish what we measured, including two targets we miss. Try it in your browser with demo data, no install: locatorzero.pages.dev.
