LocalTools
Privacy-first tools that work 100% on your machine.
Privacy-first toolbox for builders: LocalTools offers 40+ browser-based utilities — JSON/YAML/XML/TOML formatters, JWT debugger, PEM & PKI tools, HKDF/PBKDF2 playgrounds, AES-GCM, PDF merge/split, image optimizer, Markdown & regex studios, subnets, cron, QR — engineered so sensitive input stays client-side whenever possible instead of disappearing into black-box servers; free with no signup.
Hi Product Hunt community!
I'm a Software Engineer who loves building things that solve my own daily friction. I created Local Tools because I wanted a set of utilities that are fast, reliable, and most importantly, respect my privacy by keeping all data 100% on the client-side.
This is a personal project I’ve been working on, and I thought it might be useful for others who value the 'local-first' philosophy as much as I do. No data ever leaves your machine—no servers, no tracking.
I’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or any tools you’d like to see added to the suite. Thanks for checking it out! 🙏

Who hunted LocalTools?
LocalTools was hunted by Harold Huynh. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
