Launchverse

Faster deployment, honest pricing

Launchverse is the developer-first cloud platform built for shipping fast. Deploy Next.js, Node.js, Python, and Docker apps in seconds with zero-config builds, instant rollbacks, PR previews, 1-click managed Postgres / Redis / MySQL, custom domains with auto-SSL, and Bring-Your-Own-Server (BYOS) — at a fraction of the cost of Vercel and Heroku.

What inspired me to build LaunchVerse was seeing how difficult and fragmented deployment still feels for a lot of developers, especially indie builders, startups, and people outside major tech ecosystems. Modern cloud platforms are powerful, but they often come with hidden complexity, vendor lock-in, unpredictable pricing, or workflows that feel disconnected from how developers actually build products. I wanted something simpler: A platform where developers could deploy fast, keep control of their infrastructure, and avoid being trapped inside a closed ecosystem. That idea became the foundation of LaunchVerse and the BYOS approach — Bring Your Own Server. The problem I wanted to solve was not just deployment itself, but the friction around it especially in Africa: Managing infrastructure manually Complicated DevOps setups Switching between multiple dashboards and providers High costs as projects scale Limited flexibility on traditional platforms The gap between simplicity and ownership A lot of platforms make deployment easy only until you need customization, performance tuning, or cost efficiency. Then things become complicated very quickly. LaunchVerse was designed to bridge that gap — simple enough for fast launches, but flexible enough for serious infrastructure. The process evolved heavily while building it. At first, the idea was much smaller. The focus was mainly on deployment automation. But while working on it, I realized developers needed more than just a “deploy button.” They needed: Better server ownership Easier scaling Faster workflows Git-based automation Reduced infrastructure stress A modern developer experience without losing control That changed how the platform evolved. The architecture and direction became more infrastructure-focused instead of purely frontend-focused. I started thinking less like “another hosting platform” and more like “a developer operating layer.” That mindset influenced features, deployment flow, integrations, and the overall experience. While building LaunchVerse, the process also became iterative: Build Test with real deployment scenarios Hit limitations Redesign parts of the system Optimize performance and workflows Simplify the user experience again A big lesson during development was realizing that developers value reliability and transparency more than flashy abstractions. So the platform evolved toward giving users visibility and control instead of hiding everything behind magic. LaunchVerse is essentially the result of combining: Simplicity of modern deployment platforms Flexibility of self-hosted infrastructure Ownership developers actually want Faster workflows for launching products The goal was never just to create another hosting service. It was to make launching and managing applications feel less restrictive, more scalable, and more developer-first in Africa and global

Who hunted Launchverse?

Launchverse was hunted by Alexander . A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
