Latch

The app blocker you unlock by walking to your key

Latch locks distracting apps until you scan your key, and the key lives where you have to walk: an NFC sticker on the fridge, a printed QR code, or a number of steps. No account, no ads, no analytics. iPhone and Android; Pro is $9.99 once.

Hi Product Hunt 👋 I make Latch: Scan to Unlock. Screen Time limits never worked for me because I could tap past them in a second. What worked was distance: when the thing that unlocks my phone is in the kitchen, I usually decide I don't need Instagram that badly. So Latch locks the apps you choose, and the everyday way back in is to scan your key. The key can be any cheap NFC sticker, a QR code you print, or a number of steps. You can keep one at home, one in the car and one at work. A few things I cared about: 🕵️ No account, no analytics, no ads. On iPhone, Apple's Screen Time hides your blocked apps even from Latch. 💸 Pay once. Pro is $9.99 and never renews. 🆘 A way out when you really need it. Break glass gives you 3 emergency unlocks a month, then it locks again on its own. It's on iPhone, iPad and Android today. For the Product Hunt crowd, Pro is free while the codes last: https://latch.luklalogic.ai/free... I'd love to hear where you'd put your key, and what would make you trust a blocker like this. I'll be here all day.
