Hi Product Hunt. I'm Jatin, and I built Inkdale because I wanted a notes app I could trust with everything, and I could not find one that did not want an account, a subscription, or a copy of my notes on someone else's server. What it does differently: Your notes are encrypted on your device before they are saved anywhere. There is no account and no server on our side. The vault is a folder you choose, so it syncs through iCloud, Dropbox, or whatever you already use, and you can move it or back it up like any other folder. You can ask your notes a question. "What was the hotel in Lisbon?" gets answered from your own notes by Apple's on-device model, and it shows you which note the answer came from. Nothing is uploaded. On the Mac a shortcut floats the question box over whatever app you are in. New this week: the words inside your photos are searchable. Snap a receipt, a shipping label, or a whiteboard into a note and you can find it by what it says, or ask about it. On iOS 27 and macOS 27 the AI also reads twice as much of your notes at once, using Apple's new on-device model. It costs $1.99 once on the Mac and nothing on the iPhone. No subscription, ever. A few honest limits. It is Mac and iPhone only. The AI part needs an iPhone 15 Pro or later, or a Mac with Apple Intelligence. And if you lose both your password and your recovery key, I cannot get you back in, because I never have the key. That is the whole point, but it is also a responsibility, so the app asks you to write the recovery key down. It is not in EU App Stores yet. That is a registration step on my side with Apple, not a choice about Europe. I would love to hear what you think, especially from anyone who left another notes app over privacy or subscriptions. I will be here all day.
