Hi Product Hunt! I'm Vipin, the maker of Indian Typist.
Millions of people in India need to type in their own language — for Kerala PSC typist jobs, the KGTE and SSC tests, office work, or just writing to family — but almost every typing tutor out there teaches English on QWERTY and stops. I built Indian Typist to fill that gap: structured typing courses in Malayalam, Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Gujarati, Odia and Assamese on InScript, Malayalam on the Remington typewriter layout (still what the exams use), and English on QWERTY.
It started as a tool for Kerala exam aspirants and grew language by language from there. I'd love to hear which languages or layouts you'd like next, and what would make practice stick for you. Happy to answer anything!
