Impulse
Dictation for Windows that never leaves your PC

I built Impulse because I didn't want to pay monthly to rent my own voice. Hold Ctrl+Win, talk, release, and the text pastes into whatever window has focus. Transcription runs on your machine, so no audio or text ever leaves the PC. Airplane mode on, it keeps working. Free for 14 days with an email, no card. $29 one time if you keep it. I'm one person building this. Happy to answer anything here.

Who hunted Impulse?
Impulse was hunted by Isaiah Washington. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
