A few months ago I bought a product based on a top-ranked Google review that turned out to be a paid placement with obviously fake 5-star comments. I spent 3 hours of buyer's remorse and started thinking about why this is normal.
The economics are broken. Sites like Wirecutter pay reviewers flat fees and pocket the affiliate revenue. Amazon lets paid placements outrank honest ones. The people who write the most useful reviews, real users with real opinions never get paid for it.
So I built HonestyHive. Reviewers write Buzzes about products they actually use, including the flaws. Readers rate them on honesty, accuracy, and helpfulness. Trust scores reward honesty over hype. The platform handles SEO and brings the readers,reviewers just write what they think and earn affiliate revenue from every reader who buys.
We're early. Bugs will happen. But the model works and the first beta reviewers are already publishing.
