HiDataLinker
Free Navicat-style client for MySQL & Postgres — MIT
HiDataLinker is a free, MIT-licensed native desktop client for MySQL/PostgreSQL/MS SQL/Oracle — a Navicat-style workflow without the $700 license. Object tree, data grid with dialog edit, DDL viewer, multi-tab SQL editor (format / Explain), dump tosql, and URL-paste connections. Built with Tauri 2 + Rust: cold start under a second, ~90 MB RAM idle. No accounts, no telemetry, no paywall on core features.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I’m the maker of HiDataLinker — a free, open-source Navicat-style desktop client for everyday MySQL and PostgreSQL work.
Why I built it
I got tired of Electron bloat and $700 licenses for the workflows I open every day: browse schemas, peek at rows, tweak a column, run a query, dump a backup. Core tools shouldn’t be paywalled.
What’s in v1.0
• Saved connections (URL paste, local only — no accounts, no telemetry)
• Object tree: schemas, tables, views, indexes, routines
• Data grid + dialog insert/edit/delete
• DDL viewer and structure editing
• Multi-tab SQL editor with format, Explain, ⌘/Ctrl+Enter
• Dump to .sql / run SQL file
• English / 中文 UI
• Native Tauri 2 + Rust binary (~11–12 MB macOS DMG, ~9 MB Windows MSI)
Honest limits
MySQL + PostgreSQL only for now. No SSH tunnel wizard yet, no full ER designer, no CSV/Excel export wizard. SQL Server / Oracle are roadmap. Roast us — that’s how it gets better.

Would love feedback on:
1) first-run connect friction
2) which engine or feature you’d add next
3) anything that feels unfinished vs Navicat / DBeaver
Happy to answer anything — upvote if it helps your daily DB work.
