I’m the founder of Grad Orbit and I have spent the last 14/15 months building a SaaS platform specifically for managing graduate programmes with a specific focus on rotations and program management. Not recruitment, not LMS, not a general HR system. Management of the programme itself including: cohorts, placements, matching, feedback. The reason I built it is pretty simple, Graduate Programs can be so much better if the people managing them have more time to spend time with support the grads when they need it! When I managed a program (2 cohorts of 75 grads across a 2 year program at a govt infrastructure organisation) I found 70-80% of my time was managing admin and spreadsheets, when I talked to other program managers in both govt and private I kept having the same conversation with people. The majority were using a combination of Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint to manage anywhere up to 250 graduate’s rotating through multiple departments over 12 to 36 months. Every rotation change involved manual spreadsheet updates, email chains for manager approvals, and someone physically chasing feedback or updates. I thought there must be a better way and there has to be a tool out there. While searching and speaking to people I found that theres are a few like Grad Connection (SEEK) and Prosple for recruitment, and then some companies used recruitment modules in Success Factors and Workday etc to onboard. However there was no specific tool that really did what I envisioned. What the platform does right now: - Cohort and rotation period management with configurable schedules - Department capacity requests with approval workflows (optional) - Rotation opportunity board where managers post listings and graduates browse and apply or auto generated rotations based on match/opportunity. - AI-assisted matching that scores every graduate against every rotation based on skills, interests, grad type, and work style. - An “About You” profiling flow where graduates describe their interests, personality, and programme goals (not just their degree) - Automated pulse check surveys and end-of-rotation assessments on a configurable schedule with automatic reminders - Manager-to-manager feedback visibility so the next hosting manager can see how a graduate performed in previous rotations. - Onboarding checklists, notification system, and a structured dashboard for each role (admin, manager, graduate) Let me know if you have questions.

Who hunted Grad Orbit?

Grad Orbit was hunted by Stephen Owens. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post.
