Gitbar

Your GitHub work, quietly waiting in the menu.

A personal queue for what you need to act on across repos. Your PRs, the reviews you owe, the issues assigned to you. One click from the menu bar.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 Update on Gitbar, the macOS menu bar app for tracking GitHub PRs and issues. Since the first MVP, the focus has been on letting you carve your queue into sections that match how you actually work. What's new: • Custom sections with a filter editor (review queue with CI failing, waiting on author, blocked — whatever fits your flow) • Actionable badge counts — the menu bar chip and tab badges count only rows in sections you've flagged as actionable, so the number can't lie to you • Flat "All" tab — one deduped list of PRs and issues, sorted newest first • Hide tabs you don't use; widen Review sections beyond your direct queue (by repo, author, label, etc.) Would love feedback on the section editor, the part with the most surface area and the most room to improve.

Who hunted Gitbar?

Gitbar was hunted by Bruno Kiafuka. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
