Garly is an evolving AI personal safety companion that learns your routines, supports preventive monitoring and helps connect you with trusted contacts when something does not feel right. A planned optional event-recording feature would save only short recordings after approved safety triggers, never continuously.
Hi!
I started building Garly around a simple question: can a phone become a genuinely useful safety companion without turning someone’s private life into a data product?
Garly combines an AI assistant with trusted contacts, saved places, private memory and sensor-based protection modes. We have been testing adjustable sensitivity, jogging, bag movement and stillness because real life is messy: people run, commute and often keep their phone inside a bag.
Privacy is central to the project. Data is separated by authenticated account, sensitive areas can be protected with a local PIN, and users control what Garly remembers.
Garly is already available through our live demo and continues to evolve through community and tester feedback. It is not a replacement for emergency services, but an additional personal-safety tool we want to make genuinely useful.
