Gamekin
Screen-aware AI companion for every Windows game
Gamekin is a Windows-first AI companion that understands the game or app window you select and answers by voice without making you tab out. Ask with Alt+V, continue naturally in Conversation mode, or enable Adaptive Coach for brief, context-aware debriefs. It runs inside Xbox Game Bar, brings current sources into its overlay, keeps history and per-game progress, and works across capturable games and Windows apps—without DLL injection, memory reading, input automation, or stored audio/images.
Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I built Gamekin because every useful gaming question seemed to require the same bad tradeoff: pause the action, Alt+Tab, search, then rebuild the context yourself.
Gamekin stays inside Xbox Game Bar and looks only at the window you explicitly select. Hold Alt+V to ask about the current situation, switch on Conversation mode for natural follow-ups, or enable Adaptive Coach for a short debrief after a meaningful, clearly observed moment. The same visual workflow also works in regular Windows apps—for example, asking where a control is in CapCut.
I cared a lot about keeping it helpful without making it invasive: no DLL injection, process-memory reading, packet inspection, input automation, or stored screen/audio. It can bring fresh sources into the overlay, keep text history, remember preferences and per-game progress, and lets you choose an assistant personality and voice.
There’s a 7-day trial with 30 credits and no card. I’d especially love feedback on response time, the Xbox Game Bar workflow, and which games or Windows apps you’d like to use it with next.
