FridgeQuest: Food Expiry
A tiny fridge iOS game that helps you waste less food
FridgeQuest turns your fridge into a daily rescue quest. Add food, get gentle expiry reminders, rescue items before they go bad, and keep a streak with a cute fridge buddy.
👋 Hi
I built FridgeQuest because most food tracking apps feel too serious, and most habit apps are too generic. Food waste is a daily problem, but the app that helps with it should feel easy, visual, and a little fun.
FridgeQuest is a tiny fridge game for iPhone. You add food from your fridge, set optional expiry dates or photos, and the app creates a daily Rescue List. When you use, freeze, or share food before it goes bad, you earn XP, keep a streak, and make your fridge buddy happier.
The main idea is simple: make food expiry tracking feel like a small daily quest instead of another boring list.
A few things I focused on:
- no required fields when adding food
- local-first food tracking
- gentle reminders, not guilt
- a cute mascot drawn fully in SwiftUI
- no external backend or tracking in v1
I would love feedback on the onboarding, the rescue loop, and whether the game mechanics make the app feel more useful or just more fun.
